Cam

Post by Tsimms55 »

Hey I'm about to top swap my '05 bonneville SE and I was also wondering if anyone here has had any experience putting a cam in our cars. My buddy put one in his GP but with a bonneville I was wondering if much would be different. Would I be able to do it with engine still in car? Thats what we did with his but I dont know what would be different. I'm just mainly seeing how hard it would be to cam my car with this post.

it will be the same process as the Grand prix. There is actually much more room in the engine bay in the Bonneville than the GP

The biggest difference is the clearance due to the space mentioned above. The Bonneville cradle does not have to be lowered as much. Here is a write up from when I did mine:

might have to remove the passenger side mount but should be easy after that.
