1997 SSEi Performance Upgrades Questions - What should I do?

Talk about modifications, or anything else associated with performance enhancements. Have a new idea for performance/reliability? Post it here. No idea is stupid! (please use Detailing and Appearance for cosmetic ideas)

1997 SSEi Performance Upgrades Questions - What should I do?

Post by Boreas »

For my 1997 SSEi, current mods is high-flow cat and CAI and a basic tune via me messing around with HP Tuners. Last year in the fall I bought but didnt have a chance to install a N* TB and a Gen V supercharger along with a 3.5 MPS pulley. Would I be able to support this or are there other mods id have to consider? I imagine it should take this but wanted to check with you guys.

Also I am thinking while the top of the engine will be off, it would be an easy time to do rockers as well, would it make sense to do this all at the same time or should I wait?

Id also like to to exhaust headers, but one place I found sold SLP for $800 which im not sure is the best option at this time, so its not at the top of my list.

I'd appreciate your thoughts!

i would think for a gen V and 3.5 on that u would need atleast headers aswell.. if i remember readinf a gen v efficiency is like dropping a pulley size so u would around 3.4 or 3.3 .. so yea atleast headers to go with what u have. might wait for more info from other ppl tho.

If you have the patience for it, everything off is a good time to port and polish things.
