Hey all! I was hoping based on the picture below, someone could help me out to figure out what exactly i need. I believe the link below is what I need, but you guys surely know better than i do. I hope this is what I need. If there's something better or comparable, or if i need more than just this ill check into that too. Thanks in advance.

That is a rear shock, these cars are struts in front and shocks out back. Very easy to replace yourself, check out this writeup of when I replaced mine last summer - http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/fo ... 39750.html I used some KYB shocks, others will recommend Monroes, but both are a great choice. Do not get the one you linked, that is not the right part.

Also every time i search for rear shocks for my car on napa the same item keeps coming up which you said was the wrong part. Would you happen to know the part number or item name? I have napa, autozone and advanced auto all around my house. Thanks
I used KYB SR1002 shocks, but many others will work just as well. Just make sure they look similar to the ones in that writeup and you will be fine. Looks like the car will bounce around like crazy (or the shock is locked up solid) but you should be fine to drive it just be careful as bad shocks can cause the tire to bounce too much and lose traction on the road.

You hit the nail right on the head when you said the back end will bounce around.. Thanks so much for the information. Now its just a matter of finding it at a local autozone or advanced. I found a pair for 130 at autozone but would have to have them shipped with a 3-5 day wait. Ebay seems to have much better prices with the same wait time. Everything close at an autozone or napa type stores would likely be around 130 as well id assume
That's why I bought online. They were on my door step in a few days and saved me about $50.

One last question. On ebay it says this part is compatible on my car. Why would that be? I believe you 100% that the KYB SR1002 shocks are what I will need, but would there be any reason these wouldnt fit? I see they fit Cadillac with the same platform are listed. Shouldnt our cars be the same?

No idea why, this is the KYB SR1002 and are listed as compatible with a 2004 Bonneville. http://www.ebay.com/itm/111265145243#vi-ilComp I would also check rockauto.com as well as amazon.com to find the best price and shipping. I found the best to me was from partsgeek.com
