Reminder about flushing front fender
The lower part of the front fenders just in front of the door is a natural trap for leaves, helicopters, mud and whatever else can get by the cowl screen, eventually possibly leading to the fender rusting out.
I just spent close to 10 minutes on each fender hosing a lot of debris out of there.

Re: Reminder about flushing front fender
EDIT: Note that the description below does not apply to the 2000+ after all:
Well, if the 2000+ is anything like the '92-99s, which have this problem also, you just open your front door and access the area that way.
I've been lax and ignoring this problem for a while and just yesterday removed roughly two cups of composted leaves, debris and dirt from each fender. Yeah, I know...that's not a good thing.

Mike, on the 2k's there is a flat spot inside the fender well. I believe that's where Mark is referring to. I hit it with a high pressure washer every once in a while

Lol! No problem. That's why I put the caviat in there. The '92-99's have a similar but slightly different problem.
I'll edit the above for clarity and to avoid confusion.

I am confused about what and where the debris collecting spot is on the 2000+ cars.
Is there one?
How to get water to it to clean it out?

Re: Reminder about flushing front fender
when I have the front door opened it looks like some kind of insulation at the fender well opening. I'll have to look around
