My 1985 Porsche 944

Post by radomirthegreat »

This car is awesome! Image

I got it last week. It runs and works very well. Very peppy, too, for a naturally aspirated 4-cyl. This is my infrequent cruising car, I suppose, though I'll still work on my two Bonnevilles and my C-10. I'll get more pictures soon after this snow nonsense.

Very nice car! I almost bought one of these a while back and did some research on them. Keep an eye on the timing belt. Otherwise they are pretty reliable cars.

Thanks everyone! The timing belt looks great, but I'll keep an eye on it and probably change it in the late spring if I've driven it enough by then. I think I'll be able to tell by the plugs eventually, though at first I'll stay cautious.

I don't think the car is from Ohio. It had been sitting with bad tires for a while, and the previous owner put on new tires to drive less than 30 miles to SW Indianapolis to sell it.

I found some old pictures I took while it was being repainted the factory color.

Very cool. A friend of mine has an '84 944, same color combo as this. Looks to be about the same condition as yours, though his paint is original but still looks great.
