I need help. Everywhere I read it says my car has a 18 gallon tank. When I fill up the most I can fill up to is 14.7 gallons. Can someone tell me if this is accurate.

Are you filling it when the light comes on? When the light comes on there is approximately 2.5 gallons left, also bear in mind that isn't exactly the most accurate fuel gauge in the world.
