2004 SE
252000 miles
This just started yesterday (ambient temp = -5 F). Start up the car and I can briefly here a squealing noise coming from the ABS pump. It sounds like what a blower motor sounds like when it has a bearing going out but it's not coming from the blower motor.
It lasts only a moment, like a second or so after I start the car.
The only other time it acts up is when the ABS needs to activate during braking.
I get the the normal whine/grind of the ABS activating but it also makes the squealing noise.
What is going on? Is the sound a sign of the ABS pump starting to fail?
