Post by snira »

Hi,
It's time to change the brake pads and discs on my car, what brand and model would you recommend for me? my car is 1998 SSEI.
Thanks.

I've been very happy with Raybestos AT Ceramics. Low sound, low dust, good stopping power. Rotors, I've been getting that same brand and line and they stay looking good. Though I just put the Powerstop drilled and slotted pad and rotor kit on my father in law's Grand Prix, and he's been happy with them. Same advantages as above, but look cooler.

K1534 is the front kit for us. Hmm, it might be cheaper to get the rotors and pads seperately, looking at Rockauto. I'd put up links, but their site doesn't work like that.

Agree on the pads. I really like eramics.

As for rotors, I just buy the cheap Chinese crap ones every time I change the pads. If you buy the good ones, it costs nearly as much as a set of cheap rotors to get them turned, and getting them turned here is a hassle.
