Best options for fog light mod for 2000+

Post by MrJiggy716 »

I have searched around but couldn't really find anything. Are there any for the most part plug and play projector fog light kits that would fit preferably with angel eye halo or is something thats going to have to be all custom? The lack of aftermarket upgrades for the 2000+ is frustrating to say the least...

As far as I have found (and I've looked a lot), Custom is the only option.

For $82, you can get these bad boys, and probably rig them up to work in a 2000+. They're meant for 96-99, but I believe they will work. I emailed Intense about this and they said it was just a matter of bolting it up. I'm thinking about ordering them in the future.

You would have to work out a different mounting pattern and bracket.

I just put yellow Lamin-X on my fogs to make them a little different.

Nothing wrong with custom. I just suck at mechanics, getting better though. Wish there was someone from the forum who lived somewhat near me that was experienced in mechanics and Bonnievilles that I could pay to help with my projects lol. :btruestory:

The morimoto matchbox projectors are always so hard to come by. Plus I like my foglights to be centered in the holes without hitting my intercooler heat exchanger. Blazers work pretty dandy for me.

Yeah, Im liking these. I just wish they had a better picture so I could actually see how they looked smoked normal and when lit up IN the car.

Very nice.

Good luck with custom fog light modding your car. They definitely, IMO, do add some character to the cars. Just made me realize how much I want to do mine now.

Justin, those are 2003 SSEi's fog lights. It looks to be the stock fog housing with the projector and some other goodies added. IIRC, TRS currently has some matchbox minis for sale.

right looked like the stock lens, same as on my SLE thought with such powerful fogs they might melt. I like these fogs
http://store.ijdmtoy.com/CCFL-Angel-Eye ... _sku73.htm its just that they are so small compared to our housing, and from what i've seen are usually not done with lens's over them but we may have no choice since everything has to be custom and not a lot of options...
