SSEi struts

Post by BestBonnieYet »

I have a 2003 SSEi and am getting ready to replace front struts (and maybe springs). It seems like the parts should not be the same as a regular SE. When I search for the strut (Delco and others) I get part numbers that fits a ton of different GM full size (like floaty Buick). Does anyone know what the GM or Delco part number is for the front struts and springs for the SSEi? That's why I am hesitant to buy a Delco ready strut because it seems like it won't be the same as what is on my car now. I want to maintain the same handling as I have now.

Hey neighbor!!

I recommend that you do not replace the springs. There are some companies that sell a Quick Strut that is the Strut and spring already assembled...but they have been known to raise the front of the car, and they are not the same as what came on the car as OEM equipment

I would recommend the KYB GR2 Struts and reusing your stock SSEi springs They are probably the closest to the SSEi strut that your going to get.

If you want to get the OEM strut for your 03 use GM Part number #22064781 or AC delco Part Number #506254

Don't for get to get a quality strut mount when you do the swap.

Also if you want some help doing the swap and since your a local guy, let me know
