Trunk carpet wont stop sliding around?
I have 2 amps and 2 12 inch subs in my trunk but the carpet won't stop sliding around causing my subs to slide around and get to close to the walls of the trunk and is tearing and pulling on my ground wire. Any ideas on how to keep everything from goin everywhere?

Re: Trunk carpet wont stop sliding around?
I used double sided carpet tape and taped the carpet to the trunk floor. It worked well until I had to get to the spare tire.

I bought some of that rubbery stuff that people put in the bottom of their cupboards, just put it under the carpet right under the sub box, and it worked like a charm.

I screwed my box to the spare tire cover but then again when i want to get to my spare its a royal pita to get out

I have a couple bungee cords on my sub box and it doesn't go anywhere, even when I went to the track.

I screwed a couple eye-bolts into my sub box, and use bungee cords to hold it in place.

Strong Spray adhesive.. Glue the carpet to the trunk and then set the box in, just dont glue the carpet over the fuel pump access (incase you need a new pump). we glued mine down along the back edge in my monte and it stopped the sliding. mine doesnt seem to slide, 2 12's in a sealed box. But i have used the eyelets with the bungee before as well.

Re: Trunk carpet wont stop sliding around?
I ran over to the local Wal-Mart (not by choice) and picked up a roll of black carpet. I tore out the old *shoot* price of carpet and used 3m adhesive glue to completely recarpet the trunk. Looks nice and I have no issues with my 10's sliding

Re: Trunk carpet wont stop sliding around?
I built a frame out of 2x4 to hold mine. My box was too tall to slide all the way against the rear seat, so I pushed it all the way back then built that in front of it. I built it just small enough so you could still get it out for the spare tire, although it was hard to get out. Worked great though my subs never moved again. I will say as much as I miss my subs, having a empty trunk in my new car is much better
