Re: My take on a 2002 SLE
Yup it was always a Florida car previously but I sold it to her and drove it up there.. Awesome cross country car too.. I enjoyed that trip. She didnt drive it in the winter as she goes to Mankato state and our home town is Hutchinson so she just rode with friends when she wanted to go home. The car is still in MN.. I'll be getting it in a couple weeks..I bought her replacement down here last week so my parents are driving the Bonne down and driving her new car back. As you can see my family prefers Florida rust free cars lol.. I think this will be the 5th one in 4 years to make the journey up there to its new home lol

For the wheels, what paint did you use? Did you just mask off the face of the wheel?

Used same formula I used for tinting my lights clear coat with a few grams of black mixed in..and just did multiple coats until it was as dark as I wanted.

What angel eye fogs did you use and how hard was the instillation. Most kits I have seen have a separate remote for them did you somehow hook them up to your regular fog light switch? I REALLY want to do them on mine! Thanks

Re: My take on a 2002 SLE
I just used a set of universal CCFL style halos off eBay.. Any from 105-110mm will work for our Fogs. I attached them to the outside of the light (make sure to get the ones that are sealed in a plastic ring) and wired them to the parking lights so always on when headlights are on..I later wired them to the fog lights and took out the fog light bulbs since I never used them anyways.. This allowed me to turn them on and off. Easy to do.

How did you attach them to the outside of the light? If you took out the bulbs, do you have anything in the glass encasing to replace the bulb?younggunls1 wrote:I just used a set of universal CCFL style halos off eBay.. I absolutely love the look, it's awesome. I've been trying to think of something to do with my Camaro's fogs and someday the Bonneville's!

Re: My take on a 2002 SLE
I honestly can't remember what I used to attach them. I think I used a clear silicone caulk or adhesive or something . Regardless I am re doing them now since they were removed from the car a few years ago when I sold it and this time I have a clear vehicle trim tape.. It feels like rubber and is rediculous strong.. I think there is a video of a train pulling a rail car with it or something.. Anyways It is made by 3m and has a red wrapper on it. It's waterproof and clear so will work perfect I'll take pictures after I installjared4832 wrote:How did you attach them to the outside of the light? Oh and I simply left the bulbs in the Fogs and just unhooked the plugs for them using it for the halos

Okay, awesome, thanks! That 3M tape seems like a smart idea and I know which tape you're talking about. Pictures would be appreciated! I'm curious to see them!younggunls1 wrote:I honestly can't remember what I used to attach them. I think I used a clear silicone caulk or adhesive or something .
