Scale of 1-10 how difficult? What tools/ materials will be needed. No Comp coverage. :(

It's a 2. Pry bar (mine are plastic) and a 10MM socket and extension to remove the door panel. You'll see the attachment bolts for the window (2, as I recall.) Remove them and vacuum out the broken glass from the inside of the door, then insert and bolt down you JY window, button it up, you're done.

DO NOT lubricate the window track with anything besides graphite powder (and you don't really need that.) The door panel bolts are located down low behind the red courtesy light lens and up high under the inside door handle.

Good luck. Post again if you need more help.

also try not to break your door panle clips, they are strong, but beware the upper ones on the outer door edge will like to strip off the christmas tree looking part and might not want to stay put after reinstalling. And also to save you a bit of a headache here be carefull when pulling upward to unseat the plastic trim on the top of the doorpanel, it tends to stick itself inside the door pretty good and will want to either break or pull the staples out of the door panel. Try slowly and gently prying with a long flat screwdriver or any flat bladde under the trim from the outer edges before pulling up. Hope this helps you out, I have 3 doorpanels with the trim pulled off and one with the trim broken in 3 places on my car just due to not realizing how delicate it was, and that it wanted to 'bond' with the door window seal over the last 20 or so years.

I pulled all my panels mistake was on the first, pull the bottom clips then the sides be carefull with the two closest to top on the sides, then the black piece on the top pull gently and it should pull out of its groove with the entire panel. Also there are two bolts behind the courtesy light and one behind the mirror adjustemt knob.

Hope this helps!

This was easier than I thought. I had the two screws bottom right corner by the speaker, one behind the handle (Torx), the other behind the power mirror switch (Torx). Once those were out as previously stated just popped the panel off, had a little trouble with the top trim sticking to the wondow moulding but kept it in one piece! Unbolted the attachment bolts to the broken window, removed that piece, replaced it with JY window, rebolted, and popped the panel back on and presto good as new.
