2000 SSEi still around!

Hey everyone! It's been a while but the White Lightening is still going strong! Last year it made the trip to Charlotte for the fall Nascar chase race. There's over 230,000km on it now. NO gas door filler rust to be found (now that's rare!). Last year I found a set of Alcoa 18" rims off an 07 GP GXP. I put the 8" 255's on the rear for a more aggressive look. So here are the more recent pics of the car.

Thanks Eric. It actually does get a fair bit of interest at the Friday night car cruises around town! People see it as a Grampa car until I open the hood and show off the specs/mods!

I noticed how clean it was around the filler on the inside of the fender so I did spray a good coat of rocker panel tar coating around it. Other than that just lots of wax and tons of car washes in the winter after every trip through road salt. I clean areas on my car that most don't even realize exist! lol

I also use a leaf blower after every wash (summer and winter) to blow off any water droplets or residue. I never use a towel. I just use a micro-fibre towel and detailer after the blow dry cycle. I alway open the door on the fuel filler and give it a good spray and then get in there after with the leaf blower. The hole in the filler area is always kept clear so it can drain well. There is an area above the rear shock coil that collects a lot of dirt as well that I try to keep clean as well.
