chugging at low rpms

Post by bmoseman »

What's up everyone. Hoping someone can help me with this. My 01 sle chugs at low rpms. No matter what gear im in. Its not constant either. Not every day but more often han not. whether I'm just takin off or cruisin at 55, it will chug. More like a stutter and I kno the ignition is good. The only thing I haven't replaced is the control module. I'm hoping it has nothing to do with the tc in the tranny. Anyone experince anything like this?! :dontknow:

Not a harsh chugging. Just have to give some gas and quits. 1500 rpm and lower. Idles fine. Does stutter on start up occasionally.

I am having a similar issue with my 2000 SSEI. It actually stalled out when I was in reverse pulling out of a parking lot. It's not looking good. I am under the impression that I will need to have the engine rebuild or swap it. Either way I don't have the money for it. :'(

I had the same issues with mine, and replacing the EGR valve solved mine.
