lean condition question
lean condition question
I added a fender well intake and it went from 15.7 to 16.2 in the quarter am i having a lean condition? Do i need more fuel?

Are you getting a check engine light? Or running a scan? Why do you think it's running lean? If you're just guessing based on 1/4 mile time you should also consider other factors like temperature, humidity, track conditions, if you were spinning tires, etc?
Was your 60' times roughly the same but 1/4 time and speed trap low?

My 60 fts are 2.35 with the fwi and the factory air box from what i see im loosing it in thr top end and the temps and humidity have been similar the times ive went

How do you have your intake routed? Is it hitting on anything? If it's hitting anything, that can register as false KR and cause your PCM to pull timing, resulting in a slower track time. What filter is on your FWI? I thought I saw you bought an Intense a while back but I can't remember (I ask because obviously cheaper filters don't flow as well, the K&N will flow much better).
The only way to know if you're running lean is to get a scanner on the car and measure your fuel trims. Depending on how lean it gets, that can definitely pull power. Typically these cars richen up a good bit when you floor them (Mine goes from 14.7 cruising to 11.9 floored). If you scan and see that you're getting into the high 15s or 16s on your fuel trims, you have a problem that needs to be addressed, but I really don't think that an intake is going to make you run so lean that you'll notice a performance drop like that. Something else is definitely going on.

Also, can you post pictures of both of the time slips so we can compare between the runs? Like frenetic said, there are a ton of variables that could have caused a slower run, like temperature, track prep, how much you power braked during launch, what gear you started in, and if your trans was being happy or not.
