Got the Fiance a new car

Post by Sadden »

2013 Chevy Trax (same as the Buick Encore just better)

Image

Fully loaded , XM , OnStar (she can start it with her phone from the factory , that's gonna be nice this winter) , AWD , Leather , Sunroof , 5 spoke 18s' , blah blah.

Nice ride , gets great mileage gonna be comfortable for road trips , and when we settle down and make babies there's room in the back for carseats ;)

Why do you call it better than the Buick Comes second? (Encore) :P I've got no opinion really, just curious. I kinda think they look like shrunken Enclaves/Equinoxes. It looks nice though.

I've never seen a Trax before! I thought the Buick was built on the Captiva.

Its got better options than the buick , and is almost 10k cheaper. I like the encore , but they share everything under the skin , the trax had better seats , a real touchscreen (the encore has a screen but its not a touchscreen as its too far away from the driver to be allowed to be a touchscreen) and that didn't work at all. The buicks only real upgrade was slightly nicer rims and better headlights.

But these 5spokes are nice , easy to clean in the winter time.
As for the headlights... well its me we are talking to here so this girls getting a 40" Rigid on the roof rack.

Nice looking Trax! I've seen one on the road over here now too.

It's a smaller platform than the Captiva. the Buick Encore is essentially a re-badged Opel/Vauxhall Mokka. The Trax is shares the same platform as the Mokka too.

Yep, the Captiva is just a rebadged last-gen Saturn Vue, which in essence is an Opel as well, just a different model and one size bigger than the Trax/Encore.

My wife and I were at the road races at Brainerd International Raceway last weekend, and spotted a Chevy Orlando in a Walgreens parking lot that had come over the border. Made me do a double take! Interesting how the Canadians get some of the Euro cars. (For instance, I've spotted a Nissan X-Trail with Canadian plates in Duluth twice).
