Nice find!!!
But I'd flip it unless you are going to pull an Andrew and slap an L67 in it.

Re: 2005 GXP
I'd swap the tires onto the stock wheels, and wait till November and flip them.
Otherwise it looks good. I'd take $4k over the headaches of the Northstar any day. And I've been a bit spoiled now, but the GXP doesn't handle worth sh*t compared to our VW's...

Re: 2005 GXP
For $2,750, you're not out a huge amount, and whether or not you would get much out of it on flipping, remains to be seen. I say keep it until the tires fall off.

I don't think it would be crazy to keep it. Sometimes people make them seem like the plague, but as I said earlier as long as you have the work ethic and ability to do your own work, which it seems you do, and another vehicle to drive if it did need something, which you surely do, I'd keep it.

Re: 2005 GXP
Throw it on Craigslist for $7,500. If it sells, then you're $4750 ahead. If not, then you keep it and drive it. JMHO.

This is exactly what I was thinking. $7500 seems like a good price considering how good of condition it's in.
Stock wheels have blizzaks on them. With 7/32 tread. Little light curbing on 2.
What u guys think they are worth? $800 for the set? More or less?

Re: 2005 GXP
I'd say $800 is a good price. Like I said though, car is probably worth more (and IMHO just should be) with the OEM wheels, even if they're kinda beat up, than with those hoops on there. Get the tires flipped around (Shouldn't cost more than $75 at the most) and throw these wheels on the snows, and sell them in November to some schmuck. Or keep 'em!

Re: 2005 GXP
Just wondering, do you still have all the other cars in your signature list? The pros of keeping it is that it is the last year they made the Bonneville and being a GXP it is sort of collectible. You have experience with the 2000+ models so you know all the common things that can go wrong. The cons are there are a few specific GXP issues such as motor mount, fog lamps, and engine gasket leaks, but there are a lot of them around with 100,000+ miles. And you did get it for a great price. I also think it looks better with the stock rims. When I bought mine 3 months ago the stock rims all had bad curb rash. They cost me $125 each to fix and they look like new.
I would say it is a nice daily driver and you seem to like the way it is running and handling so keep it unless something major goes wrong.

Re: 2005 GXP
Yes, I do have all the other cars but only half of them are driveable.
Looks like the GXP has to go. As much as I love that car, I love the money more haha.
Threw it on craigslist and first cash offer takes her away.
