no mufflers? yes or no?

I finally got the sle/ssei exhaust for my SE but currently dont have much $ for the magnaflow mufflers i want so i was thinking temporarly get the exhaust put on with no mufflers and leave on the stock resonator but im not sure how it will sound what do u guys think?

Leave the stock mufflers on them...

Unless you like loud exhaust I'd wait. While I have not personally heard a 3.8 without mufflers, I did remove the stock mufflers from my '93 Grand Prix w/ 3.4 dohc and it was stupid loud. That only lasted a few days before I couldn't stand it anymore and put mufflers back on it. Just my opinion.

Had the muffler off of my SLE for a while after it was wrecked, sounded awful. It was cool to play with before they hauled it off, but I definitely would not drive it that way...

3800's without mufflers, don't sound good no matter how you slice it.

Well with all of that bein said im going to need mufflers i currently have 1 2.5 magnaflow muffler and i was thinkn i could just buy 1 more but then realized im not sure if a 2.5in inlet would fit the sle/ssei exhaust? Anyone know?

Worst case is use one of the autozone adapter couplers?

A good exhaust shop should be able to make it work. The question is are the outlets in the right places to make the exhaust work the way you want it?

I have a pair of magnaflow 11226 going on tomorrow. Center/offset is what you need.
