While it looks cool and all, The Bonneville got it's reputation as a BIG family car with Attitude...right from the beginning in '57. And it's highly unlikely, even if they bring the name back, that it would be a coupe.

I love a huge, quick sedan.

all in all it's not THAT big, if you think about it, althought TALLER then most cars it's certainly not the biggest

But I don't think the Bonneville is dead just yet, Pontiac probably took it off the line for a bit and then will bring it back "new and fresh design" Bonnevilles, IMHO!

Saying that they aren't THAT big doesn't change that they were the largest car Pontiac sold for perhaps the last decade, and the only sedans that really rate larger are the Ford/Lincoln/Mercury cars in the Crown Victoria / Lincoln Town Car / Mercury Marquis class, and possibly the Chrysler 300 / Dodge Magnum cars.

Without question, the Bonneville is a large car. Historically it was even larger.

GM was actually planning on making some coupes back in the late '80s but the LeSabre got the performance package instead (T Type :D ). It never happened, but heres something to think about:





In theory, if you had a good LeSabre Coupe and a Bonnie SSE parts car you could easily take parts and make this car. The only parts that wouldn't be a direct swap would be the rear quarters, trunklid and header for the tail lights.

If you really want a coupe then just buy a Grand Am! Or a Grand Prix would be pretty cool.. I think you have mixed feelings Razr89a! From reading your other posts, which I have to admit are peculiar, I would have to say that you would be better off buying something other then a Bonneville. Correct me if I have bad english, but are you trying to add some kind of FI to your naturally aspirated engine? Now you're lookin into a 2-door, just go out and buy yourself a Grand Prix GTP, any year of your choice.
