Been driving around since Friday and have had a few cops behind me already and noone has stopped me. Here are a couple pics with the lights on. The lights are actually brighter than you would think they are:
And from what I found, they are legal. They just have to be seen from 500ft away. They brake lights have to be seen from 500ft away in normal daylight. Here is a link to Oregon law:

Looks awesome. I think I'd get pulled over here if I did that. I really like it though.

where do you find the laws about tinting back lights cuz that looks amazing!
-edit- you know you should take the lights out of the middle and just have it black!!! and leave the two side lights and THEN it would look monsturous

We talked alot of options (keep in mind these are cleared underneath already too). That's the way he wanted 'em so that's the way we did it.
The third brake light was an afterthought a few days later. Took less than an hour for that.
FYI, because of the sheer size of the center piece, these are alot harder to get an even coat on, especially the clear.
He'll let them cure for a week or two, and then hand polish and wax them.

Those are not lights it is reflective. That one is when it was overcast and the flash went off on the camera.

You'll be fine with out a doubt on those lights. I tinted mine WAY to dark, to dark that at night if I'm a decent amount away you can't tell I'm there really, only thing you can see is the middle? brake light and my headlights..
Oh and during the day its worse, and I've only been caught twice and it was due to the end of the month..
P.S I know its not safe thats why I have GXP tails coming in

idk if i ever did it and had a 00+ bonneville i would just tint the middles and leave the other ones the way they are, so that the center deal is the same color as the car, but the center piece isn't GONE, you just can't see the "light" things... meaning there's no red in the center lol

The way the 3 lights flow together, I think your idea would look horrible. They're designed to flow together across the car. Matt's car is now subtle, but still retains the 'flow'.
All 3 pieces need to be tinted together to get a good match and look right on the car. The outers would look very out of place if the center piece didn't look similar.

The pictures don't do it justice. They look a lot better when you are actually there looking at them.
Just goes to show that Bill isn't just a pretty face. He does good work too.

Easy now, its all opinion.
I'd like to see these once they're waxed/polished. Be sure to post the pics later! I want mine to come out like that but maybe with a more glossy look, the wax/polsih would probably do that so I'll look forward to it!
