Hello

Post by Brae »

Hey everyone, I recently got a Bonneville SSEi as a graduation gift!
The previous owner, to put it lightly, let the car get pretty bad.

We're currently in the process of rebuilding the transmission (he ran it without fluid) burned the clutches right off.
Replacing rotors and pads
Replacing a drive axle, ball joints, tie rods.

The engine is still intact. :bwoohoo:

After all of this there are a ton of cosmetic issues.

The car was left out in the sun and the mouldings around the doors are all dried up.
There's a bullet hole in the trunk just under the spoiler :dontknow:
The car had a bra on it and it was left on too long, moisture got in and ate up the hood.
and major rust near the gas door area through the metal!

This is the only picture I have of it at the moment but i'll try to snap a few later.

Sounds like you have your work cutout for you.

The bra was probably on to cover up the hood herpies. The rust under the gas door is common. Not much you can do to stop either of these from occuring.
