using 114.3 wheels

Post by eskurka »

I think I am using 114.3 wheels since they don't have the size printed on them. I was reading at thread and they mentioned a way to torque them correctly..?

Maybe thats why i have alittle vibration?

ANYONE>>>? :banghead:

Give it a shot. You do a star pattern, little by little.

Possible but improper torque on my G Am caused pulsing in the brakes. Loosening and retorqueing with a torque wrench half then full cured it.

Are you 100% pos you have a 5x114.3 wheel? are you using a centric hub ring? (aligns the wheel to the hub) i know the GP guys would run them when doing a 5x114.3 wheel.

Using hub centric spacers, if necessary, is just as important as a proper torquing pattern. Bonnevilles require 70.1mm hub bore.

I've never used 114.3x5 but as far as torque goes I always do 50lb-ft every other nut til they're all done, then 100lb-ft in the same order.

Have the wheel verified if it is a 5x114.3 or 115. alot of companies do make a 5x115 (GM FWD pattern)

most tire shops should be able to get them, discount tire i think can get you what you need.
