ZZP downpipe question.

Post by BRUTE FORCE »

Hey guys, I just bought a ZZP downpipe and had it installed today. I deleted the cat and welded it to the resonator. I wanted to know if this setup will help in performance gains.

I don't have one, but it seems that the consensus is that it does help (especially the 3" on a S/C'd car). Hopefully you got a o2 simulator or had it tuned out.

I am assuming it's a 3 inch. Then yes, you should free up a bit of power. You should get the front manifold to match with it.

Would you suggest a ported front manifold or a P-log? Does one need to worry about the crossover pipe at all?

The only reason I ask is I just wonder if it is better in the long run to just go with headers VS the cost of a DP, ported manifold(s), and possibly crossover.

Did you look at the inside of the stocker? It can't not help.

Question is: Do you feel any gains?
