2000 sle lim

Post by Trinity »

I've got the lim job from helk.. all went smooth until I went to pull the lower. I can not get that thing to break free. I'm scared to pry on it any more for fear of breaking it. Thinking about getting a putty knive and drivimg in in all around. Someone must have out sealer all the way around. I'mthinking about a cherry picker. I've oulled a *shoot* of these and never seen one like his....!

From other reading, you have to completely remove the UIM first. There's at least one bolt that is under it. Don't shove a putty knife in there. You could gauge up the aluminum.

This shows the locations of all of the bolts. There are 2 that are on the inside.

~Sheepish grin~ Thanks for the bolt locations guys. I feel like I was riding the short bus on this one. I haven't got back out to the shop yet to remove the bolts I missed, but hoping I didn't damage the LIM. I have a donor car, so no biggy other than feeling like an idiot and the extra time. The only ones I have done on the 3800 are SC.

Once again, I thank the forum for helping.

Thank you Sirs.
