1999 SSEi suspension issue

Post by blye »

My 99 ssei suspension is still the stock original. There's about 100k miles on them.
During cornering the car will sway and lean pretty badly.

I am going to replace the sway bar links again, since they look worn out and rattle.
If that doesnt fix it (and I dont think it will) how do I tell if its struts which need replacement?
Or what to look for to determine which parts are worn out?

Another issue is a lot of creaking and groaning in cold weather going over speedbumps.

thanks.

sounds like the sway bar end links to me, but if thats not it, could be your strut mounts, and/or struts. my struts are bad, and I have alot of body roll, but also alot of extra bounce over bumps, also alot af creaking noices going slow over bumps too. I'd replace everything if you get a chance, its probably about time anyways.

100 000 miles for stock shocks is quite much.
mine had them first replaced at 80k and now i renew them at 170k. and it was really wawing like a land yacht
sorry i´m from europe-expressions and understanding varies
