1991 LE has Blown Fuse Problem on A/C and DEF
Fuse blowson A/C and Def blower works fine on vent I don't know what could be the trouble vent works fine on all speeds but the moment you slide the selector to any a/c or to DEF 'POP' and you need a new fuse. Its\ is getting tiresome using A blow dryer to heat the windshield every morning before you can see to drive. Any suggestions?

While i haven't heard of this, one thing i would try is can you possibly try to unplug the control unit that contains the slider and plug it back in to see if there is any change?

If I had to guess, it sounds like the fuse blows whenever the compressor fires, which would be on those settings you mentioned. If you unplug the compressor clutch, does it still blow the fuse?

This post gives me hope. Aa OP mentions fuse blowing. Been looking to Vent blower fuse for two days, not listed in fuse panel on left underdash plus checked all those. Any help in locating is would help.
update:
Found it was not a fuse but a fusible link on fire wall under hood.
