Heater inlet/outlet pipe seal?

Post by eazhar »

Hey guys, I found what appears to be a dried out seal inside my heater inlet/outlet pipe. I am wondering if there is a Dorman equivalent for the seal or do I have to purchase the entire assembly from the dealer? The GM PArts east catalog indicates that it's "part of 4,7" meaning the adapters but purchasing both would run me almost $50.

If I have to get the entire adapter assembly, is there a good aftermarket product for that as well?

What I found:

Try heater hose connector or heater hose fitting at the parts store.

I had a hell of a time locating the part but now I know what they are. They are only like $4 for the pair.

Youd be better off getting the aluminum ones though.

I hope it's the same part were talking about.

The thing he's talking about, does nothing as mine broke the same way and my heater core still functions perfectly... Take out all the broken parts and forget it. I think it's a one way valve, but it is a restriction in the system and not really needed.
