It drove. Not well, but it drove. I was too preoccupied with freaking out to take video of the drive, bit I god an exhaust idle clip.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nu-5QUa ... ata_player

I have a pretty bad miss and the a/f ratio is all over the place. I also have a weird power droop/surge thing going on. Not sure if they're all related...

Biggest worry is tha my oil pressure dropped down to around 25-30 psi. Mostly stays around 40 when warm but I think it slumped when the motor stumbled a bit.

I'm hapy to report that I have no leaks as of yet, so that's pretty nice. I'm not sure what's going on with the intercooler. It doesn't really seem like water is circulating. The pump runs but it's really quiet and I would think I woulnt be able to open the cap with the pump on but I can and nothing much happens.

So weird to have it on the ground.

Still havent gotten anywhere with getting it to run any better. My fuel pressure is at 55-58 psi at idle, but drops off very quickly if you key it on and turn it off. Cant remember what that means...

Im looking strongly into vacuum leaks and general poopieness in how I put the vac system together. None of the stock vacuum harness was used, so i very well could have messed something up. Ill try to get a diagram up along with more detailed pics.

Im also going to pull the plugs and see if that tells me anything.

Might run out and grab an infrared thermometer to monitor my header primeries temperatures and see if one cylinder is acting afool.

One way to check for a vacuum leak is to create another on purpose, If it doesn't change much, it probably has one already. Perhaps you could meet Andrew and use his homebrew smoke machine.

Might try making some leaks and see what happens. I also checked my plug wires resistance and 'reran them so they don't touch so much.

I definately wonder about how my vac line arragnement might affect thing. Some third is in a different order along the circuit than stock. I'll draw up a diagram shortly.

I swapped a stock fuel pump back in because the walbro I threw together wasn't holding pressure. That didn't help. I checked my plug wires for resistance and rerouted them which didn't change anything.

I'm getting a p0102 code for low maf input voltage. I wonder if I had dyno Brian flash my pcm for the wrong maf.

It starts and idles like crap when it's cold, but ildes alright once it's warm. I pulled off a few different vac lines to see if nything changed and it seems I do have a bit of a vac leak somewhere. My boost gauge reads full vac (can't recall the exact number the map is saying).

It has a pronounced vibration when revved and goes dead lean on decel.

You upgraded the injectors? One thing to try is to cap all vac lines, except for the one for the pcm map sensor. But it may be that you have a pinched wire for the MAF sensor, or a bad terminal in it's connector, a wire connected wrong, or a bad sensor? Beyond that, check the FPR to see if it's bleeding pressure off.

Is it an open-loop tune or closed loop tune?

Talked to Brian and double checked a few things with him. I have an lq4 MAF, just like its tuned for, I have delphi 42# injectors, just like its tuned for. I dont think I have any vacuum leaks and I have good fuel pressure. The short term fuel trim is at -23% or so, so its running rich for some reason. Its supposed to go lean on decel, so thats fine. Im starting to fear the vibration Im feeling is something wrong with the egines balance. Like if I put the flexplate on wrong. The way things are going for me, tat would make sense.

Im killing myself over the intercooler. I had it all plumbed up and I really liked how it turned out, but as with everything else I do, it was all wrong. Once3 I started filling it I realised the way I have things oriented, Ill never get the system bled. I cant for the life of me get anything figured out for a reservoir, either.

I just want the misery to stop.

Not sure about the series 2's but I know that the series one flexplate only goes on one way due to the spacing of the bolt locations. I would imagine that they would do something similar with the series 2's unless they're already perfectly balanced.

I think you can pretty much put it on any way you want. Its just 8 evenly spaced bolts. Im going to try not to assume the most annoying possibility right now. Im pretty sure I have it on in the right orientation.

It goes on one specific way, but the bolts are close enough that it could go on the wrong way...

It went on easily, plus I looked for the witness marks to indicat where it was pointed before. So that should be good.

I had a bad coil when I first tried to fire it, is it possible Im still having ICM issues? Could that contribute to the car thinking its running rich?

It looks like you have an extra elbow between the S/C and TB. What is the tank out of?

I don't want to use the intake turnddown because it pointed my tb too far down. Is that the normal zzp one you have?
It's a Riviera res. Don't know if it's a specific year or that whole range is the same.

I already relocated my cruise control module and I'm trying to figure out how to mount the pcm up on the wheel well.

Obviously pats way is better but for some reasonbim obsessed with doing things wrong.

I wonder if I can get away with using silicone intake elbows to angle the ducting out of the way. With the cruis control box out of the way I might even be able to leave my intake tube alone and fabricate an aluminum res to mount up high on the strut tower.

As usual I'm overthinking this. I can do a fabricated aluminum reservoir that would look pretty sweet, it to put it anywhere where I would get any volume would be a huge pain.

Alternatively, I could copy Pat, but the zzp intake turndown I have pointed my intake straight into the pcm. I could cut, grind, reweld and repaint that, but I'd rather sell it or give it back to zzp for credit. Plus I'd have to extend the wiring for the sensors and my throttle cables end up kinked. I ordered a 45 degree reducer for between the tb and maf so well see how that works. In the meantime, I'll still mock up a fabricated res incase the Riviera unit doesn't work.

Also ha e to figure out a whole new route for the hoses, which took my dumb ass a while in the first place.

My engine sits a little lower? Might also be different couplers. Mine could be longer. Maybe I'll pull the tb off tomorrow and try it again. I've gotten pretty attached to having my tb upside down, though.
