DIY shop in Chicago

Hey fellow Northern Illinois members: anyone know of a DIY shop in the area. I live in a condo with just a parking lot and I don't really care to do repairs and fluid changes in the lot (I don't think the association would either). They had community garages on bases when I was in the service, just never seen one locally. Know of a place? If not, I might just have to open one...

Lots of people will lend a hand. What are you looking to do? One of the guys on the GTO board runs his own shop that does a lot of stuff for people.

Now that spring is supposedly around the corner, and my lift is free, I've been putting together a small oil change change/lube shop business, but with all the hours I work, it hasn't been going along very well,

I'm in Carol Stream. I found a community-garage like place in Gurnee, but that might be an issue if a project goes over to another day...I have a whole list of things that need tackling this summer: hockey puck mount, UIM/LIM gaskets, coolant service + thermo, trans filter, plus my horrible suspension; the back left tire just hangs by the spring when lifted...the shock is literally in two pieces Plus the usual fun stuff: head and taillamps, FWI... I know maintenance should come first, and having just crossed 100k I'm not going to want to wait too long. XR57, I'd be up for that. Sorta BYOT?

I'm on the Northwest side about 10 minutes from O'hare. I have a garage we could use for fluid changes are smaller stuff. Just can't make a mess, as my parents' car resides in there.

There's also Will in Orland Park when he's not at school. We've practically built and rebuilt my car in his garage.
