hey everyone. hoping yall can help as usual. i have an 01 sle. ive replaced the maf, iac, regulator, fuel filter, fuel pump, plugs, wires, and coil packs. all ac delco. after ive driven for a lil bit and shut the car off, when i start it back up it putters for about 3 seconds then runs fine. its about every 3rd start when warm. any ideas?
Also ive replaced the wheel bearings, rotors, pads, ball joints and cv axles and there is still a slight pop from the passenger side when turning.
I love this car. when i bought it, everything on it was original parts. never seen that before. It has 158k on it and runs strong. im tryin my best to restore this car to its best. Any help and info would be great. everyone on here plus the techinfo has helped tremendously. keep doin what u guys do. this site is the best if u love your bonnie! Thanx

Re: occasional stutter on start up
About the only things I can think of off-hand are: the ignition control module, or a flaky temperature gauge. If it was the crank sensor, I wouldn't think it would want to start.
The clunk could be bad tie-rod end or strut bearing.

The thing that crossed my mind was a lifter not bleeding down.
Don't recall that being brought up before. Surprising, to me, considering the mileages these engines see. Maybe because of the improvements in oils.
