recommended fuel pump brand..

Post by mhobryan »

Don't like doing things twice .... especially dropping the gas tank. Have a naturally aspirated 3.8 Type II in a 95 SE. Have weak pressure (yes, changed the filter). Is AC Delco the OEM spec? They are about $120 from the local parts store. Any other brand that is recommended?

RockAuto - for OEM get the delco. For the same price as the local parts store you can also replace the sending unit (if the lines on the top of the tank are rusty - Spectra Part # FG07K ).

Also, spend $7 at the stealership and get the tank gasket with three prongs that protrudes down into the tank. All those pumps come with a simple O-ring that's a PITA to get sealed correctly.

Also, put a light coat of vaseline on top of the gasket before you seal the tank.
