rear window question

Post by oldslss »

hey guys,
searched around the board and couldn't find a clear answer on the rear window not being able to go all the way down.
i seem to have picked up its not possible on the 00+ h body's but is it possible on a 96-99 to make them go down all the way / or further? or is it impossible?

It's impossible, the area for the rear wheel is what stops the glass from being able to go down any further. If you stand back and look at the door and picture the glass trying to go straight down you'll see it run into the wheel well.

by best i mean least noticeable i'm hoping they make ones that don't cover the smaller section of glass on the front windows

I think these are about your only option, these being this manufacturer. Our cars weren't exactly well supported by the aftermarket, and especially now as they continue to just get older.
