My stability system did this. It was a bad steering wheel position sensor, but a scan should have told you what's wrong with yours. You'll need a second opinion.

I like the Torrent because you can either turn off the traction control or the stability control with the same button.
If there weren't certain circumstances when stability control shouldn't be used, GM wouldn't have provided that feature on the newer vehicles.

Well the winning location is... behind the drivers side speaker in the trunk! Would have never found it without the picture though, so thank you for providing me with that! It is unplugged and mush less of a hassle to drive. Leads me to another thought though... when I did locate the sensor, it was wedged tightly against the box for my subwoofers. So, has my own stupidity possibly been the cause of the whole stability control issue? I installed those a couple weeks after buying the car, and have always had some stability conrtrol issues with it. Would the vibration from the subs cause the sensor to malfunction? Could that be why the shops initial scan of it turned up no codes? Or was the shop just wrong? Hmmmm? Thoughts?

That's the same location for the compass module. My compass went wild due to the strong magnets in my new speakers.
Yaw sensors should not be affected by magnetism tho.
Strong vibrational frequencies could do it.
