I buy just about everything off eBay, but I only buy american and I usually spend $20 for a pair of white headlight LED's - Honestly though if you're planning something for the headlights you might want to think about installing them inside the light housing itself or plan on replacing them once every two years or so. Mine recently burned out and actually melted a spot on the headlight due to the wet MI weather so I'm waiting till I clear the headlights and I'll install new ones then.

will the led lights dim away once you shut the doors or just go out?

They fade out with the rest of the interior lights the way I have them connected - directly to the interior lights.

Hi, sorry to burst into this thread here but I had a question and didn't feel the new to start a new thread over it.

I just purchased 5 White 30 CM LED strips and I would like 2 on the front of the car. I figure I'm going to have to do a headlight setup, but I was wondering if there is any way possible to get it attached to the grill or somewhere on the bumper, somewhere unique and different compared to under the headlights in a way that doesn't look terrible. They should be here in a couple of days, I just want to get planning out of the way.

If the headlights are the only option for the LEDS up front then would I simply put it into the housing, ground the wires and tap them into a fuse? Also any suggestions on which fuse to tap into?

Depending on the length of the strip you can put them just about anywhere you want. The first set I installed was along the bottom of the headlamp assembly, the 12" strips are almost perfect in length if started at the high beam - doesn't overlap the parking lights / turn signals. That set almost made it a year and finally shorted out enough to burn the wire right off the strip - so I figured that since I'd been wanting to clear the headlights I'd kill two birds with one stone and mounted them to the bottom of the black insert.

I didn't personally wire the first set that was installed on the car but the bodyman said he just tapped into the drivers parking light so they would come on anytime the headlights or parking lights were on. Both strips are ran from the drivers side parking light only - thought that was a little wierd when I actually checked out the wiring but I havn't had any problems so I trust his expertise over mine :)
