GXP cluster in SSEi

If I were to swap to a GXP cluster because, say, I like the font on the gauges as well as the white background...what all would I have to do to make the battery gauge work like a battery gauge instead of a wigged-out battery gauge on meth?

If I were to do this, I'd of course have to add a vac/boost gauge somewhere

you could also just order white face guage inlays for the SSEi cluster

The volt gauge will work properly because the cluster pulls data from the PCM.

The only thing you will need to modify is the wiring for the low coolant sensor.

They are silver faced, not white.

They're indeed more silvery. Aeroforce can be used as a boost gauge.

According to haros thread you will not have the correct mileage if that matters to you

The engine has ZERO miles. The transmission was rebuilt sometime in the past. Mileage won't matter to me too much.

Bookmarked. That was quick n' dirty and functional. I may use the writeup as a base for my later mods, one that involves an intercooler and a possible warning of low intercooler coolant, or low maybe water/meth tank

Got it. Man it looks soooooo good. MUCH better than the stock cluster, and reminds me a lot of the newer Grand Prix gauge font.

No pics yet, will save that for the unveiling once the project is done. As for the coolant message, I'm going to solder a wire straight to the board, and run it down to the grounding point on the driver kick panel. For now it'll stay grounded, but once I get an idea for what I want to do with the coolant message, I can easily get to the needed trigger wire.
