EGR code

A few months ago my SES light came on. Took it to auto zone and they said it was my EGR code P1404. I got a new EGR and gasket, the light went off for about 2 months then came back on. Its throwing the same code, could it be my EGR again so soon or could it be another problem that presents itself as a bad EGR? Thanks
