SD headers?

Post by redzmonte »

so i was looking at maybe getting some Speed Daddy headers... i dont see them on ebay and their site says out of stock.. I do see others that look exactly the same as the SD headers. Just curious if they changed names and its the same thing or whats the deal? there are like 3 different ads up there under different names for the same price and allhave the same location in CA w/ a 626-965-1808 number to call.

Top Street King headers:
1.5" primaries, 3" outlet (Supercharged engines only) $269 shipped.

there are like 5 different headers on Ebay: 2 look exactly like the SD's (appear to be the same company as one another listed under different names/web sites), Pacesetter, OBX (pacesetter knock offs) and then Stainless works ($$$).

I think if i do something i might just do one of the SD look alikes and modifying them (v-bands, and good flex) and call it a day. they appear to already have 3" outlet (SD's i had 2.5" IIRC).

I should be able to get most of my $$ back selling the DP and the Plog.

the SSAC's im sure are made by the same place as the rest.. altho there are differences
Ebay ones: 1.5" primaries (1 1/2)
OBX/Pacesetter: 1.62" Primaries (1 5/8)
SS Autochrome: 1.75" Primaries (1 3/4)

I know some will disagree but, the 1 3/4" primaries will make more power than SD 1 1/2" one's with a decent modded engine

Fairly certain my pre-accident SD had 3" collector and 1 3/4 primaries... but they're gone/

I want to say my primaries are almost 1.625 but Ill have to remeasure to confirm. 3" downpipe for sure.

If I replace my headers (theyre now wrapped, so we'll see how long they last), i would like to sstep up in primary size to support my power level.

The headers I have sitting here have 1.50 primaries.... But for me I think that will be perfect as I am NA...

I think for the L67/L32 bigger would be better...

sounds like a application problem, most of these headers are made for the Grand Prix cars not ours

What part of the header is warpped? header flange, x-over flanges?

What other modifications are required to fit http://www.ssautochrome.com/level.itml/icOid/1886
on a 2003 SSEI? Are they a good upgrade over stock?

I have a brand new set... they took forever to get here and in the mean time I had already got some SDs. If you want them at cost and I can ship immediately. Those guys didn't ship mine for over two weeks and would not answer the phone or respond to emails.

If you want them hit me with a PM, I haven't even opened the box.
