My Tahoe has about the same or a schmidge better turning radius that the Bonne did lol. It cambers a lot when you get close to lock.

Turning radius is great and the effort is virtually nothing as was my Tahoe. But when you're cruising down the road at 60 and there is virtually nothing happening when you move the wheel between the 11 and 1 position on the wheel, it's a little sloppy. :)

I find I have to focus a lot driving it... I think i'm used to cars with a lot better feedback (or any feedback frankly) in the wheel, and I can't feel the car moving slightly side to side. But it's made for prowess off road really.

The next version in 2000 was supposed to be much better for on-road driving, and had the 3rd row seat, which was kind of annoying after ordering and receiving in early '98. Our 1998 is the dark metallic green with a leather bench and barn doors, it has the push button 4WD as well, and our lights seem to come and go... I want to say it happens when you leave it in Auto 4WD, but I could be pulling that out of my ass as well.

Looks like a great truck, especially once the the small minor annoyances get sorted out. Good job on the price too!

I HATE my auto 4wd function, never have used it since after the first time. I really wish my 05 had the manual stick, just dont trust the electronic stuff. my 94 Yukon had the classic front axle actuator fail.....right after a snow storm....D'OH!!!!

Hey, that's exactly how my wheel is on the LeSabre! Didn't know GM added that feature to their trucks, too! :P

Had to make a joke about that, because that's the one thing that always seemed to bother me when driving my LeSabre.

Replaced the headlights with some el-cheapos I bought off Fleabay. they look pretty, but one was loose. Oh well...

Look at the night and day difference (and believe it or not, I cleaned up the stockers, which were a 100% improvement over how they originally were!);

Other side:

Then I replaced the thermostat so I could get some heat. The original owner had a 160* in there. It got some warmth out on a 25* day, but not much. I put a 180* in. Much more heat now...

yay I love suburbans! I have Autotrac too, it always kicked in for me even if the switch lights don't always feel like being on haha. My steering is sloppy too, the steering gear has tons of play but it's been like that for years and never let me down.

ALignment is fine, it does need a new Pitman arm and idler. So I iwll plan that job for the spring.

Right now getting the trans fluid exchange. Did the oil Saturday and found a few threads on the drain plug stripped...

Wow! Great buy! The youngest son and his wife have a white 1500 '99 LT Suburban. They paid 4500 for it 2 years ago. It's getting ready to roll over 200K. The only trouble they've had with it is the steering. Had to replace the steering gear box, power steering pump and pitman arm. They love it. Perfect for hauling around 2 adults and 4 teenagers - LOL. That 350 is a beast with plenty of power. He's pulled many a car on a trailer with it and no problems. - BC

So new tires go on it here shortly (Firestone Destination A/T's), fixed the lights on the radio, and I found a new LED 3rd brake light (the one on there now has one or two LED's out and it's orange peeling), for a great price $49 at Rock Auto. All other places want $110+ for the same Dorman light new.

Sadly, a few other parts that RA has (which I need), are more than buying them new from GMPD!

1) Tires ordered today
2) Mirror adjuster switch ordered today
3) Master power window/lock switch ordered today
4) ATC dash switch inquiry into GMPD with my VIN# for proper part today. I gave them a part# I had for it, but it came back as some switch in the hub engagement section (not what I need).

2 & 3 weren't necessary, just found them stupid cheap and free shipping. Paid $42 combined for them. :) Probably cheap Taiwan parts, but I don't give a rip!

So to continue with my lighting upgrades, I got a box today from UPS. No, sadly, it's not my HID's for the GTO from DDM which really pisses me off because I'm waiting on those flippin things so I can put the front of the car back together... but alas...

My original taillights were cracked, faded, hazed over, etc, etc. I tried cleaning them up, but made marginal headway. So I found a set of LED style that I liked. They mirror my Caddy somewhat with the cool two vertical columns. All the others were just a cluster of masses of LED's and I didn't want RICEY looking. My only complaint is that in turn signal mode, both columns blink. On the Caddy, the inner column blinks. They came today;

I also found a pair of PIAA 1000x Ion Dichroic fog lamps I had years ago on my Blazer. So I figured, WTH, put them on the 'Burb. So those along with my new headlights previously posted;
