oil pressure gauge at 120 psi on idle

Post by Mofford12 »

Basically my car idles fine except the fact that I'm at 120psi on the oil pressure gauge? Is this a common problem? And how can I go about fixing this

Oil pressure sensor is pegged
Problem: Your oil pressure gauge is reading 120 psi at all times.
Solution: You have a bad sensor. Replacement necessary. Read all about it: http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/fo ... 53&t=17496
Estimated Cost: $40-45 for new sensor, adds just a few more minutes to your oil change.
