This may sound dumb, but I think if Lucas still had his *shoot* star that would be good competition for loudest stereo...
The system will live on in his next car though.
I'll be building mine up soon too. Hehe

There's a couple members with multiple sub setups. 15s and crap.
Personally I'd rather go fast, that's where my money goes. Gimme a quality 10" sub and I'm good.

Same here. I'm only upgrading because, well, I'm never really satisfied if I haven't changed something about the audio in a car.01bonneSC wrote:Personally I'd rather go fast, that's where my money goes. Gimme a quality 10" sub and I'm good.

Re: Whats the loudest bass machines here?
While mine is more a midgrade sq setup it pounds pretty okay. Never Ben int crazy loud but it does follow when you go for dynamics and headroom.
Memphis m class 1000.d powers a single idq12dvc in a ported enclosure tuned to about 28hz. Well over 130dB@30hz. Pretty good for about a $300 sub setup all bought used and homemade.
Plans are in the works for an fi q12 in a rear deck enclosure.

Re: Whats the loudest bass machines here?
2 Kenwood 12s in a slot ported box with a 1000 watt Kenwood amp, but I severly dislike the box, it will be magically transformed into a sealed box soon. Haven't decided on mid ranges, yet. Not a crazy setup by any means, but very clean, especially once I get it back in a sealed box.

Re: Whats the loudest bass machines here?
Chris, I can show you how to retune your box. You'd be stunned how high most off the shelf boxes are tuned.

My box is tuned to 30hz. Go to a professional box builder and have them design you one

Re: Whats the loudest bass machines here?
In my 2005 GXP - I have 2 15 inch JL AUDIO w3 v2 DVC subs in a sealed box powered by a Memphis Audio 1000.1 RMS I must say that its pretty obnoxious and maybe even a little overkill lol !
