Proud owner of yet ANOTHER 3800!!! :)
Story is I had to sell my baby, a 2004 Neon SRT4 that I had built bottom up, that was my sunny day and track car.. 450 whp and a blast to drive, but had to let it go due to losing my job, and my new job having a HUGE pay decrease, and I needed to take care of priorities, ( Bills, Fiance, Toddler ) So I sold it with the intent of buying a temporary $2000 beater, but my mind changed quick when I found this.. I paid triple what I wanted to , but still have enough left over to pay off a huge chunk of debt, and above all, It wasn't a compromise, I really like this car, and am pretty familiar with it since I also own a 2000 SSEi..
Not planning to do many mods, maybe just a stage one kit of some sort with pcm, fwi, catless DP, 180 stat 605s etc , just to open it up a little bit, but that might change, but no internal work seeing as how I just sold a fast car, that was actually more suited to race. Now I just want a reliable DD thats fun to drive.. Not only that but the Family I bought it from were great ppl with full maintenance records and the car is probably 8/10 - 9/10 in every area

Thanks guys.. Few random questions if you know..
- Can you do an intense or zzp stg 1 pcm kit on this car since you cannot tune an 06-07 pcm? do they swap it for an 05?
- there is no u bent on this car, so is it worth anything to bring it to the exhaust shop to gut or remove the cat? or will it thow an 02 code?
- I want it to be as stock under the hood as possible, what would u suggest for an intake...
- Is a accumulator ( transGo type ) shift kit with a dexron6 trans drop worth it?
- Car still has dexcool in it.. Is it worth it to flush the coolant for green, and add a 180* stat?

No cat will throw a code.
Run an intake through the stock box like others have done here.
A shift kit always helps things, I'm not sure on the fluid though.
Kill the Dex.

Well I assume you want firmer shifts, but not crazy since you are DDing her? I'd go with TransGo. If you want the hair on the back of your neck to stand up every time you shift, go with Thrasher.

I love my TransGo. I'll be using Dex 6 next fluid swap in like 10k miles, Dex 6 supposedly makes a small difference in shifts and some other minor things, I've only seen it used in a 00+ once but the owner says it made an improvement, I only drove that car into my garage so I couldn't tell.

Actually, I just remembered... Depending on the year that trans may require Dex 6. My friend has a 07 L32 GP GT and when I did his fluid and filter the manual stated that it needed Dex 6. I think that was 06+ but I'm not 100%. Check your manual.
EDIT: Yours looks to be a GT2 as well, (L32) which means it's an 06/07?

Flush it with Mixes-With-Any. Even with a flush, "normal" green is just too big of a risk, as it will mix with ANY remaining dex in the system and sludge it up...
