Window trim

Post by irish91983 »

Hi all

How do you remove the outside window trim on the bottom. I want to cover or paint them cause they are all faded.

Thanks, Keith

Just lift up on them. You'll need to remove the mirror for the fronts.

If the plastic coating is too deteriorated from the sun you can cut or heat gun it off and just repaint the metal underneath. I never saw the point of wrapping it with something thats just going to come off again. my 2c ;) BTW if the plastic isnt too far gone you can easily sand it smooth and repaint that too. Just make sure you get a paint that will bond to the plastic.
