Hearter problems.

Post by Ashley.Garrison2012 »

I have a 98 bonneville. When i turn my car on and turn up the heat sometimes it doesnt work. Sometimes it will blow out cold air not hot. Sometimes it wont do nothing at ( wont blow nothing out). my boss changed thermaste like couple days ago and it did it 2 times this week again. I cant be the hearter core i think. So must be a electricol thing then. I dont know so i choose to go on here and see.

You posted in the Lounge - mechanical problems should be posted in the area pertaining to the year of your car, in this case, 1992-1999: http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/forum/1992/

Check the little elbow hose that goes from the blower motor to the firewall. Mine fell off and I had kinda the same problem

did you check for any relays for it, or it could be the switch at the blower motor itself

Even with the fan out the car will heat up when going down the road. I did this most of last year.

The issue is what would stop hot air from getting in the car. Air mix valve? Pluged heater core?
