Re: HUD Question
you sure you want to spend about $1000 for a windshield to start?
Tinted 13% Front 3% Rear, MSD Coils and Wires, K&N drop in air and oil filter...more to come as things wear/break!!

Re: HUD Question
You can, but to properly do it you'll also need the HUD windshield, which is about $600 installed alone. Then there's the parts needed and you need to do the wiring. I know Harofreak00 sells the parts to do it, not sure how much wiring is involved.

OOPS yeah you are in the US. That windshield here in Ontario last time I checked was around $1000 retail.00Beast wrote:You can, but to properly do it you'll also need the HUD windshield, which is about $600 installed alone. I think I know where I am going when mine needs replacing on my 99.

Re: HUD Question
You should not need the windshield. I replaced two in my GP's and never even noticed any difference using a standard pane.
I'd do the HUD, and then if you are not satisfied, spend another grand on glass to make next to no improvement.

Re: HUD Question
I don't disagree with your sentiment of doing it first before you replace the windshield, but I guarantee the proper windshield will it much better.

Re: HUD Question
I have added HUD to both of the bonnevilles I have owned. I haven't replaced any of my windshields yet, but I am praying for a nice big rock chip that cracks my windshield. I have a $0 deductible for glass, and want to see what HUD looks like with the proper windshield.
