I currently have red LED strips installed under the front dash on both sides and in the trunk. I still have another set for the back seat area and would like to get them installed before winter gets here. Does anyone have any suggestions for placement of the strips? At first I just assumed I would mount them under the front seats, just towards the back of the seat bottom but I can't see them lasting very long being right by passengers shoes.
Also, would I need to wire them to the lamps in the door panel or can I use the fuse box under the back seat? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated
I don't know that there is a better place than under the seats... I'm just thinking it will be to hard to run wires anywhere else. If you went with under the seats, run the wires through the center console to your other LEDS so they are all together. Place carefully though, as the seats movement could pull or cut the wires.
I didn't think that there was really a suitable place to put them under the seats, it's mostly leather and fabric I believe. They attach with 3M tape on the back of the strips. Not to mention, if I have to fix the heated seats again, I'd have to pull all the wiring out to get the seat bottom out lol just trying to think ahead

It's not 100% done yet, I have red LED bulbs in the mail for the back courtesy lights, I think the door lights will be coming out and hopefully by this time next week I'll have red backlit cupholders & consoles in the front & back seats - I'd rather everything just be red lol but I managed to get a few photos earlier, good thing I just detailed the interior yesterday

On my brothers car, I had wired some red 12" LED strips along the side of the seat on the plastic trim along the door jamb. The way I wired them, was to flash on deep bass with his amp, but could be turned on and off incase some sort of law enforcement wanted to check his car out. They looked pretty sweet when everything was going, but recently he took them all of cause he plans on selling the car. Also, I know of someone who has some thin tube light that he outlined the bottom of his rear seats that come on when the interior lights come on. It looks petty sweet as well.

I went along the rear grab handles for the simple fact that I DO NOT trust my passengers to be careful of what they do with their feet while they're in my car. That and I didn't want there to be anything blocking the light. It would'nt have taken a week for them to be torn apart if they were placed near the floor in my car, although if I didn't have passengers in my car often I would have put them under the front seats - nevermind, the back seat would have been torn out of the car by now if that were the case
Is it just the picture or are your LED's in the picture one solid line? Maybe I've been oblivious but I don't think I've seen that on any car, stock or aftermarket. Sick car by the way man! I envy those of you who have black Bonnevilles!

Yeah, I know what you mean about passengers being destructive in your car. My last car had 3 replaced holy *shoot* handles cause people were hanging on them. But the LED's are individual, as shown in this picture. But I had added them myself using simple things and the fusebox. Just buy a fuse tap, and some wires. Connet them all together and plug the fuse tap in to a running circuit when the key is in only (i.e. running lights, or fog lights). Next thing I plan on doing is going to a junk yard and snagging some 4.5" fog lights and modding them in to halo's. And thanks for the compliment, I've put a lot of time and money in to keeping the car look nice. My girlfriend calls it the batmobile, I think of it as an undercover cop car, but better.

Okay they're spaced apart like mine, I have a total of 8 LED strips on my car now, 2 for the headlights, 2 under front dash, 2 in the backseat and 2 in the trunk. Single LED's in the cupholders and possibly the door pockets will be hookup up soon

Where do you guys wire in the lights for the relay? I was going to use the red wire from my head unit harness. I dont want to make my own relay. Im only putting in two small current LED strips above the foot wells in the front. I am going to order an LG underbody kit which has its own switches. And no, i dont want to have these interior ones on a switch, i want them on and off with ACC.

For my LED's under my headlights, I just bought a fuse tap and put the positive to that. The negative to a ground screw on the car. You just have to put the fuse tap into a fuse that is only on with the key (i.e. running lights or fogs)

Which box, front or rear? All rear fuses are on 100% of the time. Besides IGN. But thats only with the literal engine
Honestly while I had my car in the body shop getting the front end repaired I had not hookup up the headlight LED's yet and the shop had them hooked up to the parking lights when I got the car back - on and off whenever the key is on.
As for the interior LED's, I just removed the foot well bulbs and wired into the foot well light assembly. Had both sides done in 20 minutes.

The front box. There is a place thats open enough to put the tap in, but you have to mod the cover.

donn188, where did you purchase the LED strips? I know there is a lot of crap floating out there; I wouldn't want to end up with having to replace them if they were bad ones.
