power door

Post by aslowick »

A couple months ago my 2003 ssei's windows stopped working, as did the power locks, power windows, power seats, and power door locks. You can say the only thing in them that works is the speaker. I have hooked it up to a computer reader and it said it wasn't getting a signal back from the door module. I origanally thought that it was just a bad module, but now when i open my door while music is playing the speaker cuts out as well. I was just wondering what i could possibly try to fix this problem. I also tryed to look for a new door module online and have came up empty handed on finding any, so does anyone no where i could find one. thank you

Guarantee that it is the electrical bus under the carpet near the drivers seat. These are prone to become corroded due to moisture.

Send a PM to Andrew (Harofreak00) regarding the door module.

Easiest way is to find a post with his screen name. Click on it, then click on pm under contact information in his profile.

Look into the wiring harness where it passes through the body of the car into the door. Sounds like a possible bad wire for the speaker.

Do the other windows work from their own switches or did those die at the same time as the drivers door?
Does the power seats work at all or just not from the memory switches on the door handle bezel?

The seats do work but just not with the memory button. And all
of the windows stopped working at the, same time. Only the speakers work now.

I recently bought this car from aslowick, still haven't come up with a fix yet. I double checked the wires under drivers seat and they or ok, replaced the drivers door swithches still no luck. The windows dont go up or down at all either with their individual switch or drivers and the power seats work but not the memory buttons. Power windows dont work either but speakers do. Any thoughts???

What has or hasn't been replaced? Sounds like a module issue.

Also, the ground you should be inspecting is closer to the hood release, under that trim panel, than anything. Plague Phantom was referencing the 99 and older cars with the ground busses near the doors.

Drivers door switches replaced, wires under seat patched. I havent replaced the drivers door module...could this be the cause?? Where do I get one or how do I test mine? Thanks.

harofreak00 will be the go-to source for the module. Not sure of any way to test it without a Tech II (Dealer Scan-Tool).
