Window Problem

Post by MikeGM24 »

I have an 04 GXP with a window problem. My front passenger window will not go down from the passenger window switch but it goes down from the drivers switch but also when it's down the passenger switch rolls it up. So it dont roll down from the passenger switch but rolls up with and the drivers switch for it works for both up and down. I replaced the passenger window switch and still nothing does the same thing. So from there I replaced the passenger window motor and still nothing! :banghead: Any ideas from anyone??? Any advice is much appreciated! Thanks in advanced!

Definitely wouldn't be the window motor, it would either work or not, maybe see if you can get a refund?

I would be suspecting the drivers door module, but even before that I would see about testing the switch or trying another if you can just to make sure. I went through months of hell trying to figure out my problem with my windows after I put another switch module in and it didn't fix the problem. After eliminating every possible cause multiple times I broke down and tried another switch.... worked perfect. Now, this was on the front drivers side which seems to be a common problem with the 2000+ crowd, I don't recall any other switch modules on the other doors having any issues, but that doesn't mean yours can't.

If yours tests good or you can try a known good switch and that doesn't correct it then the door module would be my next thing to look into.

I wouldn't buy another switch though unless they tell you that you cab return it without a problem.
