You gotta be kidding!!
I had a new motor mount installed exsctly 1 month ago. Last night was the first time I put my foot in it since then. I pull out of the driveway to day and immediately.its shifting hard again! Is this possible! Its doing the exact same thing as before the new mount.
Could there be something else causing this? I cant afford $650 every time I need to pass someone....

What brand of mount was installed? GM or aftermarket?

Re: You gotta be kidding!!
Two possibilities come to mind:
- A cheap aftermarket mount was used, likely Anchor brand. Mine became weak (but not broken yet) after two months.
- You've blown out another mount somewhere else. I'm starting to fear that this is the case for me, and it isn't the cast polyurethane mount I made.

I'm having the same thing happen to me too. My puck mount is still solid but another mount is on its way out.repinS wrote:Two possibilities come to mind:

Re: You gotta be kidding!!
Is it shifting hard, even on light acceleration?!?
And does it shift hard when slowing down in the gears also?
If so, that could be a transmission line pressure issue.
Stop the car, shut it off, wait a few seconds, then start & go again.
If the sympton is gone, go have someone read the codes & see if they can see a line pressure issue history.

Re: You gotta be kidding!!
BINGO... This is exactly what mine has been doing for the past year... But strange thing is it only happens maybe 1-2 times a month and it happened 2 weeks ago but last time before that it went for 3-4 months without it doing this.. SO is a pressure line an easy not to high priced fix at a shop?PontiacFan wrote:Is it shifting hard, even on light acceleration?!?
