Anything i should know before i order my FWI??

Talk about modifications, or anything else associated with performance enhancements. Have a new idea for performance/reliability? Post it here. No idea is stupid! (please use Detailing and Appearance for cosmetic ideas)

Anything i should know before i order my FWI??

Post by PronksBonne »

Hey all within the next few days i plan on buying the fwi from intense. Is there anything i need to know before i buy it. Maybe possible problems ill have while installing. Or if i ever need to go to have something fixed at a shop, will i have to put my stock air box back on?

All Maintenance will be done over the next few months into summer. My next step is to replace the upper intake manifold and LIM gaskets.

As far as other performance upgrades up next will be high flow cat, down pipe, and pcm. Possibly aero turbine exhaust, i love the sound already, but would like to see what these sound like. I know i probably wont be getting any better flow from these than stock, just want to see the sound difference.

Any information at all is greatly appreciated..

You will have to drill into the subframe to mount the PCM tray.

It's just the body. The ledge where the pcm sits normally.

Make sure you've got healthy body clips on your bumper cover. My filter always tries to push the bottom tray out of the bumper cover.

Mine did when someone bumped my front end very lightly in a parking lot.

I lost mine on the highway after someone stood on my bumper on the grille ledges.

anyone have any pictures of what everything should look like step by step? the instructions they sent me arent helping me too much. For example, mounting the pcm tray, replacing the old sensor spot with new.. the sensor seems to be hard to get out of the old tubing. Any help would be great, ive done searches and havent found anything

To get the sensor out you just gotta wiggle and wiggle. I ended up just stepping on the old tubing to make it open up enough to get the sensor out.
